SelfLove365, Year 2, Day 232: YES!

IMG_2595

Yes to the outrageous ideas that I have.
Yes to the challenging and physically strenuous activity you suggest.
Yes to the crazy, transformative, and scary experiences you have presented to me.
Yes to the firsts, to being vulnerable, to jumping in.
Yes to feeling what is coming up for me in this moment, even if it’s painful and difficult.
Yes to approaching new people, to being genuinely curious, and to deep listening.
Yes to admitting my dependencies, my insecurities, and my difficulties.
Yes to intense, blown wide-open, deep heart connection.
Yes to quiet moments of bliss.
Yes to all the experiences of my life.
Yes to me.

SelfLove365, Year 2, Day 139: Yes

IMG_1579

I want to say yes to life.
I want to say yes to me.
I want to say yes to change and growth.
I want to say yes to opening my heart.
I want to say yes to stepping outside my comfort zone.
I want to say yes to trying new things.
I want to say yes to all of my feelings.
I want to say yes to pleasure.
I want to say yes to me, and to you, and especially to everyone I compare myself to.

Enough with the wanting. I’m doing it.

I now say yes to life.
I now say yes to me.
I now say yes to change and growth.
I now say yes to opening my heart.
I now say yes to stepping outside my comfort zone.
I now say yes to trying new things.
I now say yes to all of my feelings.
I now say yes to pleasure.
I now say yes to me, and to you, and especially to everyone I compare myself to.

SelfLove365, Year 2, Day 100: YES

IMG_1161

YES to the sun shining on my face.
YES to touching you again.
YES to painting my heart out tonight.
YES to winning Art Battle.
YES to knowing whatever happens is meant to happen.
YES to moving my body.
YES to moving my body next to yours.
YES to the magic of my children.
YES to today.
YES.
YES.
YES.

Flashback Friday: 1983

This post should be subtitled: “What was I thinking”? But then, isn’t that just a subtitle for the entire decade? I have to remind myself of this hair when I see my daughters wearing their hair over their faces! “Fashion” of the times (really? Again, what was I thinking??): hair over the eye (OK, maybe that was just me), charm necklace (remember those things? How awful!), huge frosted frames. Nasty. Oh, and a turquoise Beaver Canoe t-shirt.

From the cassette vault: “Owner of a Lonely Heart” by Yes. This video has always creeped me out. The song hasn’t lost any of it’s goodness in 29 years!
