SelfLove365, Year 2, Day 44: Re-commitment

Every moment is a moment in which I can choose to re-commit.

During meditation, I commit to watching whatever comes up. I inevitably drift off into my thoughts, and when I recognize that I am no longer witnessing what arises, I re-commit to doing so. Not with formality, but rather, just by doing it.

Every day that I continue on my path as an artist – to paint, to promote, to explore new ideas – each of these days that I do these things, I am re-committing to pursing my happiness and success.

Every time I make dinner, wash the dishes, do the laundry, read stories with my children, drive them to school, and participate in all my motherly and household activities, I am re-committing to my role as a parent and homemaker.

Every phone call, every act of intimacy, every time I choose to connect, I am re-committing to my participation in my relationships.

Every breath I take is a chance to re-commit to my life – to me.
