Today is what I choose it to be.
It doesn’t always feel that way. Sometimes things happen that appear to be out of my control: my back hurts, my children are loud and I am getting a headache, I’m stuck in traffic, or I happen to have a free weekend ahead of me. The important thing for me to remember is that I have a choice about how I will react to each of these things. It can be so much easier to point the finger, to blame the way I feel on something, or someone, else. But I’ve known for a long time now that that just isn’t true for me. I am responsible for my own emotions, for my own choices, for the life I am creating.
