The environment I am in has a huge impact on my well-being. When my kitchen is a disaster, I feel like a mess. When I’m surrounded by loud, drunk, and obnoxious people, I feel ungrounded and unsafe. When I am walking through a crowded mall, with the drone penetrating my ears, I feel tired, small, and weak.
When I am in my tidied bedroom, with a candle lit, and a cool breeze blowing through the window, I feel at peace and safe. When I’m in a forest, listening to the birds chirping, and the leaves dropping in the wind, I feel grounded and connected to life.
