SelfLove365, Year 2, Day 203: Aiming for Gentleness

IMG_2243

When my son is frustrated and yelling at me, aim for gentleness.

When my ex-husband gives me a look that seems to say, “I don’t approve”, and I feel like a child, aim for gentleness.

When I hear a honk, and the passing driver yells at me, aim for gentleness.

When I tell myself I’m not good enough, I’m too much, or I don’t belong here, aim for gentleness.

When my inner child is screaming for attention and I just want to push her away, lock her up, and tell her to grow up, aim for gentleness.
